Dear List,
I am looking for advice on socket design and components for a water leg for
a patient with PFFD. My patient is a very active 9yr old girl, currently
using a hybrid prosthesis/orthosis (Bivalved AFO attached to prosthetic
componenets). Her mother has recently queried getting a leg she can run
around and jump off the jetty at the sailing club, therefore the leg needs
to be able to withstand salt and freshwater. I have heard of the activeankle
but I am unsure whether it would be suitable for a child. Any other ideas?
It also needs to be relatively inexpensive.
Thanks in advance.
