I have an AK patient who I previously had in a proflex inner carbon outer
frame suction socket, worked great. Time came for a new socket, and the
test socket fits well, good containment, suction etc, etc. Fabricated
proflex inner carbon outer frame for this socket as well, but pt is unable
to don the proflex, he lack 1.5 inches from distal contact and the socket is
very difficult to remove. So, I filled the socket and fabricated a durrplex
test again. He has no problem donning and doffing the Durrplex version.
What am I missing. In discussing with others it may the stickyness of the
proflex. Perhaps I should try a new material for the inner linner. Any
ideas on my dilema?
Thanks,
