Dear List members,
I am currently involved in legal dispute:
The question on hand is; is a second or spare C-leg prosthesis necessary for
an active trans-femural, male amputee in his early thirties.
The amputee presents with good balance, muscle control and has the ability
to ambulate with ease. He is currently employed and needs to be mobile in
order to perform his daily obligations.
1. Considering possible future refits of his current socket, new
prostheses, any possible breakages of the prosthetic socket and/or
prosthetic components and possible “time off” his prosthesis due to the
afore-mentioned, would you please be so kind to give me your views on the
necessity of a spare prosthesis.
2. In your opinion, should the spare prosthesis consist of the same
componentry as the primary prosthesis? – In this case a C-leg with a 1C40
foot.
3. Can it be expected that the spare prosthesis will be replaced as
frequent as the primary prosthesis?
Your replies are appreciated
