Hi everyone. I have a 52 yr old female patient with hallux valgus.
Unfortunately, she has really small feet (wears a size 1-2 shoe) and the
bunion splints I find don't go that small. The small sizes I see are for a
shoe size of like 4-8. I can't use toe spreaders b/c due to her diagnosis
she will probably fling those right out of position. The patient doesn't
ambulate or even stand, so I thought a bunion night splint would be ok for
positioning daytime wear. Does anyone know of a company that makes these
splints for pediatric patients or simply an XS size? Any other ideas to
help align her hallux toe are welcome too! Thanks!
