Hello Lits.
I am working with a young child who was prescribed a myoelectric BE
prosthesis. All the documentation was submitted to New York State Medicaid
and procedure codes were approved, however they declined to approve any
specific amounts for those codes that required prior approval with an
explanation that they will determine the appropriate reimbursement at the
time the invoice is submitted. This is my first Medicaid case and I wonder
whether any of you were in a similar situation and how it was resolved
reimbursementwise.
