Ed,

I have seen and purchased some of the DAFO patterns at JoAnne Fabrics,
or another similar store. I think it's worth checking into it. You may
not find all of their patterns, but I think you will find some. Have a
good day.

You can actually buy Cascades materials- order the ribbon from them, or
just go to a fabric store and have fun being creative.

Google the terms decorative ribbon.

Any local fabric store carries all sorts of ribbon.

We use Leo Stein & Co. www.leogstein.com Good prices and quality.

Ed,

If you are looking for sew in type ribbons, you can get ribbons of all
colors, widths, and even patterned prints at JoAnn fabric stores, or any
craft store or even Wal-Mart. Hope this helps!

Ed,

Please post your replies. Thanks,

Warren Mays, CPO

Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Hancock's fabrics,at any fabric store
you will find some of the very same types of ribbon DAFO uses and many
others. Do watch for some ribbon types that have wire running on each
edge they are not a good choice.

Call Mike Traub at our Puyallup office. He does lots of kids orthoses
and uses something like this. 253 435-7722 Tell him Karl gave you his
number.

I have found ribbon material at Wal Mart. Wendy Gunelson Shriners tc

Any sewing store or wholesale walmart has great choices and is less
experience than a fabric only store. You will ned to roll over the edge
or else use an edge treatment to keep it from unraveling.

Hope for kids

Dear Ed,

We currently sell several Shriner units 1 & 1.5 pre-made hook/loop
straps in a several colors including Royal, Red, Pink, Purple, Kelly,
Yellow. This would eliminate the need to sew colored ribbon on the
straps unless you are looking for ribbon with designs on them. I can't
tell by your e-mail address if we already sell your unit. If we don't,
give me a call and I'll send out samples.

John Bertagna @ Leo G. Stein & Co.

Ed,

I don't know about the ribbon but another alternative is to iron a
pattern onto the straps. We use the transfer paper that is made for
plastic and transfer the design with a household iron. The iron has to
get hot enough and you have to make sure you don't stay in any spot too
long but other than

that it is fairly easy and inexpensive. The straps look good and the

design is durable.
