Dear List,

Sorry, my posts were never intended to start a licensure debate. The
point of my original post was to alert practitioners out there, that
they may be asked to participate in a quick medicare contractor
survey and give them some things to think about.

I have done my best to reply to each person who wrote me off the
list. Thank you for your comments.

To be very clear. I'm all for licensure. I feel it legitimizes a
profession and is ultimately a good thing.

My response to Mr. Barr was to clearly state that my original post
was about an impromptu survey not licensure. There of course, is a
weak argument that we could indirectly relate the virtues of
licensure to the post. Then take it a step further and it would make
every single post about licensure. If a practitioner from 10 states
away posts a question about a difficult patient or a strange
configuration of a prosthesis, we could all answer, if you were
licensed you would have all of this knowledge yourself, because it
solves everything. (Obviously another weak argument intended to
demonstrate irony and sarcasm)

Again, sorry list, my second post, the anti soapbox post, appears
to have grown into a super industrial strength sized box of Tide.
For the last time, If we take every opportunity to push a certain
message, it ultimately gets diluted. There is no better way to get
people to push the delete button than to say the same thing over and
over again. I'm not going to debate licensure, because I agree with
most of the arguments listed. There is really no reason for me to
chime in. If anyone would like to discuss the Medicare phone survey
with me. I'd love to share some thoughts.

You know the first time I received that email about transferring $26
million dollars from Timbuktu to my bank account I must admit I read
it pretty closely. Now I just press delete.
