Dear Colleagues:
I am attempting to develop a better protocol for taking a negative impression for a TLSO. Currently, we use the standard plaster roll, anterior\posterior impression technique with full spinal precautions. These are for inpatients only. The technique is messy, time consuming, and may be difficult for a single practitioner. CAD/CAM not an option since we need same day turnaround, and we do not have a local carver.
What techniques, tips, and material options work for you? Any suggestions would be helpful. I will post a summary of responses.
Thank You,
Dan Munoz CO
p.s. my back hurts, my hands are dry and all of my clothes are ruined.
