Dear friend Tony,

My prosthetic certification number is: C.P. 00566. I earned it in October
1967. I spent a lot of money in education and time in preparing for the
A.B.C. national exam. In those days less then 50% of the people that took
the exam passed it on their first try. I am very proud to say that I did,
as well as every resident and other person preparing to take the exam that I
coached, mentored and instructed (this was before the resident program was
established) passed the exam on the first try. I have spent my entire adult
life searching for the answers to improve the lives of amputees and passing
that information on to others who would listen.

Integrity? It is not for me to say whether I have it or not? I learned a
long time ago that self praise is no recommendation. It is for my peers
and people that I serve to say, probably and appropriately long after I am
gone. However, I must tell you that I sleep very well every night.

A respectful friend,

Raymond Francis, C.P.
