Dear list,
I have posted before on other topics, but I want to give you something
I have discovered in my own.
I have worn Iceross, Parydonn and now Alpha pin liners. My skin is
very sensitive and breaks out easily, especially when I work
out.
I have found out that a soap called KIRKS Castile soap leaves no
residue when washing my stump after showering as with any
other soap that leaves a perfume or deodorizing element. I wash as
usual with my normal soap and then wash my stump last with
the castile soap before leaving the shower.
.
I also wash my liner with the same soap. It leaves no residue and is
easy to find in the local market.
My stump has no rashes or red spots now and I attribute this to the use
of the castile soap.
My son, who is a very hairy BKA, has had the same experience. His hair
rinces clean without any residue.
We are both very fair skinned individuals with sensitive skin. I think
this kind of inexpensive soap will benefit any silicone type
liner wearer , and even those wearing socks. It is a easy transition
to showering as usual and just to wash your stump just before
leaving the shower.
This soap is recommended by dermatologists for those with sensitive
skin. It has no perfumes or skin softeners in it. Casile
soaps are available world wide and are basically a vegetable based
soap without any extra additives such as perfumes,
deodorants, or skin softeners.
Thank You
