Dear List-
Thanks to all who have completed my survey on the health, safety, and
fertility of women in prosthetics. The response has been wonderful.
This is a topic that so many of us are interested in.
I have received many inquiries as to why orthotists were not included.
After reconsideration, I've decided to add orthotics to the mix. Anyone
who has taken the survey already does not need to retake it, unless they
were not allowed to complete it because they weren't in prosthetics.
The survey can be found at www.WomenInProsthetics.com OR
www.WomenInOrthotics.com . Either address is fine because they both link
to the same survey.
Thanks again to all who have responded. By adding orthotics I hope to
increase the data set to a greater level of statistical significance.

Below is my original message to the List.
To All Women in the Field of Prosthetics,
We are a growing force within the Prosthetic Community. Ever worry
about the warnings on those chemicals we use everyday? They're a little
scary.
How does working in prosthetics affect a woman's reproductive health?
What kind of precautions are women taking with the chemicals they use?
I am conducting a web survey to determine the prevalence fertility
problems among female practitioners and technicians and the rate of
congenital anomalies (birth defects) among their children. I am also
interested in learning what safety measures women take. Any woman in
the field for any length of time, whether she's been pregnant or not, is
eligible for the survey.
The survey can be found at
www.WomenInProsthetics.com
Thanks,
