The Academy is proud to announce its 32nd Annual Meeting and Scientific
Symposium to be held March 1-4, 2006 in Chicago.
Known for its high quality content, the Academy's Annual Meeting is
4-days of focused education sessions, networking opportunities and an
across-the-table exchange on the latest in O&P Services. This year's
meeting is going to WOW you.
The Academy has gathered world renowned experts in O&P including Dr.
Ignacio V. Ponseti, a leader in the field of orthopaedics. Dr. Ponseti
will lead a session focusing on the Integration of Contemporary
Orthopedic and Orthotic Management of Clubfoot.
A new addition to this year's meeting is the debate focused on Trends in
Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis Concerning COBB Angle vs. Overall
Balance and the Application of Forces. Well known experts will debate
this topic with input from attendees.
Always a sell out, the Academy's Clinical/Professional Techniques
sessions focus on three hot topics:
- Practical Orthotic Management of the Diabetic Lower Extremity,
- How Do Cardiopulmonary and/or Cardiovascular Disease Effect the
Treatment of the Amputee? A Clinical Approach, and
- Healthcare Litigation.
These sessions are limited to 40 participants and require a small
additional fee.
The meeting will begin with the prestigious Thranhardt Lecture Series
competition where leading researchers present their findings vying for
the Thranhardt Lecture honorarium. You select the two best presentations
and determine the 2006 Thranhardt award winners.
We continue to stretch the limits to provide quality education, while at
the same time providing you with new tools and services to enhance your
experience. Lively presentations and discussions, an Exhibit Hall layout
that can be seen in one glance, and an opportunity to meet old friends
and make new contacts - it's worth your time to attend this meeting of
professionals, planned exclusively by professionals.
Preliminary Programs have been mailed. For complete program details and
to register online, please visit the Academy's Annual Meeting website at
