Hello all:
I am looking for an alternative to the ultraflex knee joint for a patient of mine. He is an adolescent with a knee flexion contracture of about 30 degrees that has not resolved in 3 years. Dx. septic arthritis, although not truly sepsis as no bacteriological evidence. He has been using a proglide and has had limited or no success, possibly due to misapplication or infrequent use.
I would like to fabricate a KAFO which he can use daily and ambulate in. I would like to know if there is anything available that you have utilized with positive results. Your help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
