TWO DAYS OF GREAT PROGRAMMING FOR TECHNICIANS & OTHERS INTERESTED IN THE
SCIENCE OF MATERIALS
The Academy has produced an exceptional two days of high quality
technical education in Maximizing Patient Safety: Material Science in
P&O Design with John Michael, CPO, FAAOP, FISPO and renowned Australian
rehabilitation engineer Bill Contyannis presenting.
After reviewing the program outline Tony Wickman, RTPO, chair of the
Technician Education Committee, said I can't remember when the Academy
has had a better program for technicians and everyone else who is
seriously interested in product safety. This is one not to miss!
The program, offered at no extra charge during Friday and Saturday of
the Academy's Annual Meeting March 16-19, is a wealth of practical
knowledge packed into two intensive days. It explores the application of
relevant engineering design principles in the selection of components
and material in custom prostheses and orthoses. It delves into a
detailed review of real-world mechanical failures, malpractice
implications, and how to avoid such risks.
BE SURE TO REGISTER EARLY - Deadline for Early Bird meeting registration
is February 11. Academy Active Members save $75 by registering early.
Use the convenience of online registration via the Academy's website
(www.oandp.org). The website has complete information on program
details, hotel information, and exhibiting companies. In addition, you
will find specially discounted Disney theme park ticket packages only
for Academy/ACPOC attendees that are not available elsewhere and will
not be available after Feb 20.
