Good Morning: This is addressed to all manufacturers of o&p components. I
always save to a patient file any and all labeling, instruction sheets etc.
that are included with any product used on that particular patient. I have
asked several manufacturers to research a peel off label that can then be
applied to the patient's chart to document what components were used on each
patient. Some of the labels are currently attached to the package are not
reusable and I have to cut and staple this to the chart. Being the lazy
person that I am, a label that is able to be peeled off the packaging and
then stuck to the instruction sheet/progress note/delivery ticket and
inserted in the chart would make my life easier. I have suggested this to
Ossur, PDI, Seattle Systems and they appear to have made changes and I thank
them. I also will suggest that you consider this request next time you need
to order labels. Thanks for listening to me. Ed Roman CP/LPO; Merrick
