ORIGINAL POST
Is anyone still manufacturing the laminated hand piece for use in
hand orthoses? I seem to recall they were called Ingen hand orthoses
and were prefabricated. I can't find anything online through the OPIE
search engine or through Becker.
Thanks for your help!

Try Engen, or TIRR. Please let me know if you learn a source.
The components I believe you are referring to were Engen. Thork Engen
developed a modular system for upper extremity orthoses. I believe Tom
Dibello has acquired the rights to the system and has made them
available
again.

I can remember back in the late 70's they came prefabricated although
they taught us in school to laminate them. Somewhere along 1980 they
started making them out of LDPE-with the web between the thumb post.
Didn't Ranchos sell those themselves to supplement their program?
You can contact Tom DiBello, CO, FAAOP at <Email Address Redacted> and I am
sure he will be able to assist you.

We are now selling the Engen upper extremity orthotic system. Although
we make the hand shells out of modified polyethylene now we do have a
few of the old shells still in stock. We would need an M-L at the MCP 2
thru 5 and a circumference in the same location.
Also you can visit www.dynamicorthoticsystems.com for more information.
