Dear colleagues
I would appreciate your experienced field input, or academic references-
I have found lately that when I manufacture plastic AFO's ( with and
without hinges) for the adult head trauma and polio patients, if adding
a toe off to allow a better rollover, the toe off hurts the patient
because of a present or developing hammer toe or toes or spasticity.
Can the hammer toe be prevented within the orthosis?
Is there another option to the toe off that will allow rollover in gait?
Thank you for your time
