Thank you to everyone that responded to my question:
Any recommendations on a suspension sleeve for a transtibial shower/swim
prosthesis. All is water proofed, I just want to keep his socks dry. The latex
sleeves I have used in the past restrict ROM at knee.
Centri makes a very durable sleeve without fabric on the outside so it is
excellent for wet environments. It has a coating on the outside that makes it
roll up and down easily. It comes in a variety of sizes and straight or
pre-flexed. It can even be thermoformed for a perfect fit.
Centri is a Fillauer Company so call Fillauer at 800-251-6398 for more
information
Try ESP
I find that the 6mm ALPs Easy Sleeve works well. It is thick, but is soft so
ROM is not affected. 6mm thickness seems to add durability also. Very easy
to donn.
I am R-BK from a 1969 motorcycle accident. Years back I reviewed the
DryPro when it first came out. My intention was to allow me to take a
shower with my PTB on and keep my wool stump sock dry. I did not plan
to use it to swim, since if I swam, rarely, I would simply not use
anything, including a prosthesis.
So-----that was years back. The DryPro worked fine. They are still in
biz and I recently heard of another sleeve on AMP-L. So there are
several options, but all I can address is the DryPro from a few years
back.
Try the Alps Easy sleeve without the fabric, 3mm or 6mm
Regards
Our amputee wake boarding team uses a pump type of sleeve/cover for water
proofing. It is called the xerosox, check out www.xerosox.com. BK and AK
Hosmer has a suspension sleeve that is made out of
thermoplastic elastimer which would hold up well in a
swim prosthesis. They are also thermoformable. The
sleeves are made by our sister company, Centri. You
can get more information by calling our Customer
Service Department at 800-827-0070.
I use the ALPs Easysleeve with no outer fabric. It is nice and
stretchy...and waterproof.
I always used the Alps clear liner...the real stretchy one. It seems to
work well.
Endolite sells a shower sleeve but,it is kinda wimpy and might not last.If it
durability ,try the OWW gel suspension sleeves or find a peice of used alpha
liner that is cut from a whole liner and use it as a sleeve.this can be a
cheap alternative to buying one and besides, most people throw them away .Hope this
helps.
I would use one of the ALPS SLE sleeves.

I've used a few - patient preference from trial/testing = latex [ preflex
the sleeve to allow for initial flexion and reduced buckling, wrinkling - as
much as ~45 degrees; the eaasy sleeve is the least resistive, and if it fits
just right to the thigh, can be effective. I'd be interested in other
responses you get.
Again Thanks to everyone for help.
