I took Hugo's apology as heartfelt and I admit that I made no effort
to contact Hugo to let him know that I found the sales phone calls to be
disruptive. As a business owner, I would definitely want to know if my
company's actions were irritating to my customers and I should have told
Hugo what I thought a while back. Even if he admits he wasn't as
accessible as he could have been, I could have found a way if I made the
effort.
Regarding the knee, microprocessor or not, or any components for that
matter, it comes down to how they function for our patients' needs. The
other factors are reliability/maintenance and cost vs reimbursement.
This list is a great way to share such issues, but I suggest that
whenever we have problems, we give the manufacturers feedback and ample
opportunity to make things right before you complain about them on this
list. We would want the same for ourselves. We are better off as an
industry to have plenty of suppliers to choose from. Give them direct
feedback whether they ask for it or not.
