Hello
I am searching for statistics on lower-limb amputees, such as the total number of lower-limb amputees in the US, the percentage of amputees that are diabetic, the percentage of amputees with impaired neural sensation, the number of amputees in which types of sockets, etc, etc.
I have searched the CDC with minimal luck: they appear to have links to sites regarding amputee information (support groups, activities, etc), but not statistics.
I am interested in the Limb Loss Research & Statistics Program (LLR&SP), but from my search, i was not able to find where any data was currently available.
It would be much appreciated if anyone could point me in the right direction to find hard data and statistics regarding lower-limb amputees.
Thanks in advance
chad
