Posting for a colleague:
I'd like advice on matching a water leg to my clients needs. He is an
active 60 year old (high K4 classification) who is moving from a hazelnut
farm to a mobile home. He wants a prosthesis to cope with his expected
change in lifestyle, travelling around Australia with his wife and dog,
getting in and out of a fishing boat, wading in shallow water and showering
in small caravan park cubicles.
He currently wears a PTB prosthesis with a Tec Liner, shuttle lock and Flex
Foot (Variflex style).
Do you have any suggestions or know of anyone who has successfully made a
water proof (take that as water -resistant) prosthesis???
