My prosthetist colleague has a BK amputee from MVA with neuromuscularly deficiant quads and mild recurvaatum. We are going to laminate a KO into the prosthesis. After attending the Horton's seminar in Chicago and learning about all the new stance control knee joints, orthotically, this patient is a good candidate for any of the stance control joints, but I'm guessing that when combining with a BK prosthesis, the SPL joint from Fillauer may be the best way to go. Does anyone have any experience using any of these joints with a prosthesis? Any thoughts...suggestions...warnings? BTW, the patients auto insurance will be receiving the bill. :)
Thanks.
