Does anyone know of a supplier of folding or telescoping travel underarm
crutches other than Fetterman? Although his are good, some of us find
these too heavy and too expensive, and don't like the forearm crutch type.
Many years ago, my Father, a machinist by trade fashioned a pair of
lightweight telescoping travel crutches using aluminum tubing and metal
springs and locks, similar to Fetterman in design, but without a handgrip.
I still have and use these crutches, but they have no hand grips, just a
long tube, they still work well enough to get me to the bathroom or
shower. Several people have asked me for a resource, but unfortunately my
Dad is gone. Any suggestions??
Sincerely yours,
