I'm interested in making my own facial prosthetics in platinum silicone, and
I'm not sure how to go about color mixing. What is the basic set of colors
I need to mix, and which is the best supply-house for those colors? Is
there a standard way to mix less than a drop and still accurately record
quantities? What are the procedures for matching someone's skin? The only
thing I can think of is to create many slightly different color combinations,
cure a small patch of silicone for each color, and then compare by eye. Is that
the standard method for color-matching, or is there something more precise?
I very much appreciate your help.
