I currrently have patient the is a transhumeral amputee that is being fit
with a two site myo arm. My problem is trying to maintain a suction socket
w/ valve and good contact for myo sites but allow sufficient ease of
donning. Because I have to place the elbow turn table as proximal as
possible the current pull hole is proximal to the turn table creating a side
pull of tissue and patient can not easily are properly pull herself in. I'm
wondering if any has tried to place a pivot piont (ie.pulley) at most distal
end of socket and then exit socket at the turn table which would maintain a
more direct pull on tissue into socket.
Any thoughts
