Hello All: I have just been informed of a situation that happened yesterday and would like opinions as to the ethical/moral side of this situation. It seems a patient had an angiogram performed at a local hospital to determine where a lower extremity amputation should be performed. When this patient returned to his hospital room, there was a trifold information sheet from a prosthetic facility that stated if they had any questions concerning prosthetics, please feel free to contact their office. In fairness, I should also stated I have not personally seen this paper. I should also add that there is a statement about the patient's freedom of choice in selecting a provider of prosthetic services. Any and all opinions are welcome. Thank You, Ed Roman, CP, Licensed Prosthetist (IL), Licensed Orthotist (IL)
