Hi List-
We have some inventory that we're not really using anymore and we plan to
clear out/organize our stock room for items that we will reorder as needed.
Have any of you determined if it is worth the hassle of selling the items or
can we do just as well to donate it to a nonprofit group? Who/what determines
the value of the items? (I'm also asking our accountant, but I'm curious
what your experience is.) I've decided where I'll donate it, but I want
objective info. to help with the decision of selling vs. donating. (For
instance, if I get 75% back of what I paid for something, I would assume that
would be more cost effective than donating it)
Thanks,
Randy McFarland, CPO
