From my personal point of view I feel this concept would be beneficial for
education
and trouble shooting. At my clinic we see around 600 patients per month.
We have a fixed budget which we provide complete Orthotic services to DOD
Region IV. We do not bill nor de we have as many concerns as our civilian
colleagues. I receive at least 15 to 20 posts per day which are not
beneficial to the educational and trouble shooting concept. I honestly do
not have time nor the attention span during my clinical time to weed through
the posts. I do read all posts, don't get me wrong, but not as efficiently
and timely as I would like.
I advocate free speech and advocate this list serve. However, it would be
nice to have another forum that is for education and troubleshooting
(patient care issues) which has political or non patient care issues weeded
out. With having yet another to do list, it brings up another problem. The
problem is we would need someone to effectively monitor and be a moderator
and who can boot or ban users who abuse the system. Similar to ICQ or MIRC.

Just my wish list.

Please keep on posting because without free speech and free thinkers were
would we be?
