Hi

I don't mean to exclude Orthotists from outside of Ontario but this situation is more to do with ADP than bracing.

I have an 18 mth old girl, ambulatory since 12 months. She has no underlying pathology but presents with a plantarflexion contracture of ~ 20 degrees. Extended knee, PFC, flexed knee, ankle able to reach neutral. Obviously a tight gastrox. Therapy is ongoing and I've been asked by the therapist to provide bracing to compliment the treatment. I'd like to build her a device which can be used during the day and possibly night which will act to stretch her gastrox. Now the tough paperwork part. How do I bill this through ADP? Should I simply make a KAFO and bill accordingly. I'm somewhat stumped as the device I think I'll end up making somehow seems less than a true KAFO.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
