Good Morning,
Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with Frank Friddle (from
Friddle's Orthopedic Appliances Inc.) and mentioned that some of the older
children that receive thermoplastic AFO's would appreciate a flesh tone
color rather than the white copolymer plastic. To my knowledge there are
currently no solid flesh tone colors available in the transfer paper.
(Please let me know if this is incorrect)The younger children appreciate the
variety of patterns available and enjoy some independence in choosing the
color design of their orthosis. As the children approach adolescence, we
have noticed many avoid the patterns and select the white copolymer design.
Frank and I wanted to know if there are currently a variety of solid flesh
tones available. If not, how many of you reading this email that provide
custom made orthoses would utilize the transfer paper if it was available in
solid flesh tones?
                                                Sincerely,
                                                 Ed Skewes
