Ladies and Gentlemen:
The American Board for Certification in O&P (ABC) is a member of the
American Red Cross Disaster Services Diversity Task Force and the Disaster
Services Health Practitioner Task Force. The ABC and Robert Manfredi, Sr.,
CPO, our representative member to these committees, request the names of
volunteer practitioners, associates and technicians in the Northern Virginia
and New York City (including the tri-state surrounding communities) that
would be willing to offer their consultative services to the victims of the
Tuesday, /9/11/01, Twin Towers and Pentagon disasters.
The names of volunteers will be shared with the Red Cross and, should the
need arise, they may be asked to join other health professionals and teams
to care for the injured. Such volunteer work would likely only be
associated with consultation and advice to physicians and other
rehabilitation care professionals in the proper intervention of orthotic and
prosethetic care.
If anyone wishes to submit their names, please send a message to
<Email Address Redacted> We will compile the list and forward it to Mr.
Manfredi and the American Red Cross.
Thank you,
Lance Hoxie
