Hi List members-
I have just heard of legislation/rules that currently effects only the the
Southern California area that supposedly outlaws the sale and use of
adhesives and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) I don't know if this is law
at this point or not, but I understand that it takes effect 9/1/01. Has
anyone in COPA heard of this specifically which of our resins, solvents or
glues will be outlawed?

You can go to www.AQMD.gov and look under rules, rule 1168. or

<A HREF= <URL Redacted>>Click here: Rule 1168 Adhesive And Sealant Applications</A>

It appears that at least spray adhesives are effected. I don't know if there
is a quantity limit or not.

If anyone knows more about this or can talk to someone who can help our
industry plan what to do about this, let me know and I'll post a compilation.
