Here is a list of my responses:
Original Posting: > Does any one know of any resources for external
power tenodesis orthosis. I recall there was one years back, ( possibly
the TIRR, by Engen ); but I know he has retired. I do not know who
might have the distribution rights at this time. Any responses will be
greatly appreciated.

Actually, Tork Engen is still around and putting together a company to
sell
his design. Contact him at: Orthotic Systems, PO Box 20262, Houston,
TX
77025; 713-666-7928
I believe Thorkild Engen can help you. He can be reached at
713-528-0449. He travels a lot, so leave a message if he isn't home. I
understand that, because of a resurgence of interest in his devices, he
has made arrangements for the components to be made available by a firm
in Houston. If you have any trouble in reaching Thorkild, get back to
me.
Hosmer used to have one called the Rancho Hand Splint that was powered
with a battery pack that you wore over your shoulder. Unfortunately it
was discontinued about 4 years ago.
Call Tom Lundsford in Houston. He knows where to get the parts or if
you want can fabricate it for you.
John, VASI has a power unit that you attach to a WHO that you
fabricate. It can be controlled by switch or EMG. Visit their web site
for info.
