L5649 IschialContainment socket
Text:
Hello,
Could someone please provide me with an image of today’s L5649 Ischial
Containment socket. I am familiar with the socket design and shape as
envisioned by John Sabolich, CPO.
What I am seeing today being sold and billed as a L5649 Ischial Containment
socket, IMHO, is a modified quadrilateral socket. It is also my understanding
that ANY socket shape that is not a true by the book quadrilateral socket
should be billed as a L5649.
Please help enlighten this prosthetist as to what today’s L5649 Ischial
Containment socket looks like and what should be billed under L5649.
For those that are interested I will make a composite image from the image(s)
that I receive and will e-mail images to those that request them.
Al Pike, CP
