So far I have received many more requests for images and replies then I have
received images and definitions. However, one response received and posted
at the end of this message seems to sum up best the responses I have received
to date.
Maybe my question needs to be at what point of modification of a quad socket
or whatever kind of socket I fit can I add on the extra $2000- $3000 using
L5649 Ischial Containment. It would seem this is a judgment call left up to
the prosthetist as to when they think what they are fitting is a IC socket.
Of the images received most resemble the shape as espoused by John Sabolich
with the exception of the image sent by someone of the Ischial Containment
socket from the AOPA Illustrated Guide. None of the images resembled Ischial
Containment sockets I have seen recently with the exception of the one image
of the quadrilateral socket. Nor was there mention of the Boney Lock from
past lecture and illustrations associated with the socket design of John
Sabolich. Caveat Emptor-Let the buyer beware.
Thanks everyone for your e-mails, and for those that requested I am attaching
the composite image of the images received to a separate and direct e-mail to
you.

We had recess some days and physical education other days (at least I did).
To me physical education is like the quad socket and recess is the IC socket.
To clarify further. Recess was that period of time that all of the children
were allowed out of the classroom and onto the playground to do as they
pleased. Some played baseball, some played kickball and some played marbles,
others sat under a tree and talked. Physical education was that period of
time that the children were let out of class and made to stand in straight
lines and do the exercises being lead by a teacher. When the exercise
portion was over then everyone participated in the same game in the same
area, under supervision.
The only shape that I've never seen labeled as an IC socket is a straightline.
