Very short transradial...ideas?

Hi all!
Well my last question was a little obscure, maybe
this one will be a little more mainstream. I have just
been asked if we can fit a myo-electric to a 6.y.o.
congentital trans-radial amputee.
The question of myo-electric or not is not really an
issue, that will be up to testing and training.

The big questions are...
The girl has a very short stump. There is 1.5cm of
bone and total length of stump is 3cm.
AND
She has never worn a prosthesis.

My immediate concerns are that she will most likely
reject anything that interferes with her current
adaptive activities.
Also the functional possibilities of such a short
prosthetic fitting are limited. She will have limited
elbow flexion and power.
One other solution that comes to mind is that we
ignore the elbow joint and make something akin to an
above-elbow prosthesis.

Any experience or comments would be gladly welcomed!

Thanks in advance
