Medicare payment for foot orthotics

I am new to O&P billing. Just got started in Jan 2001 with no background in
any type of claims filing.
I had a patient who wanted us to bill Medicare for FO's, even though MCare
doesn't cover them.
I used L codes L3020 & L2275. MCare is paying 80% of the L2275. I assume
MCare doesn't realize the L2275 is part of the foot orthotic.
I also think if MCare reviews the claim at a later date and finds the L2275
is part of an FO, they'll charge us back the 80% they paid, and we may not be
able to collect from the patient.
What is a better way to handle this situation?
