This is an important message from the World Health Organization. We are
carrying out a large-scale investigation to assess the performance of
health systems in all the countries of the world. The results will be
published in our World Health Report <URL Redacted> . This
investigation seeks to improve on existing methods and data to assess
the performance of health services. You can learn more about this by
looking at <URL Redacted> see under Statistical data from
the World Health Report 2000
This portion of our investigation is focusing on Key Informants, persons
involved in and knowledgeable about the health systems and related areas
in their country. We are attempting to contact as many potential Key
Informants as possible via email.
Your OandP-L listserv has come to our attention as an excellent source of
people who could make a significant contribution to this important WHO
investigation, and we would very much appreciate your taking 20-30
minutes to complete an online questionnaire, which can be found at
<URL Redacted> . If, after completing the
survey, you know of any additional persons you feel could also make a
contribution please forward this message to them, too.
Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in helping the World
Health Organization to continue to further develop its methodology and
improve its database so that all the countries of the world will have a
better basis for improving the performance of their health systems.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. David Evans
