I also applaud the efforts of all the presenters and found the mock
remediation dispute resolution simulation between client Todd Anderson CP
and practitioner Mike Allen CPO very stimulating. Vendors had some very
fine and innovative products on display. Thanks to OWW and Ossur among many
others for their generous sponsorship.
Paul Prusakowski and his brother did an exceptional job with their very
clever 2001 video presentation. Congratulations on the fine entertainment
Paul.
The AAOP Quantum Leap project deserves support from us all and a special
thanks to Tom DiBello & Thomas Gorski and the rest of the board for their
insight for this initiative. Much work remains in order to set up a more
scientific approach to evaluating prosthetic and orthotic componentry for
our industry and it can be hoped that some Quantum Leap funds are earmarked
for this effort. Education is clearly key, however, in keeping O&P strong
for the challenges facing our industry in the future.
All in all, the AAOP Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium at the Wyndham
Anatole in Dallas was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who participated.
