Greetings to any and all interested prosthetists or other orthopedic
professionals,
My name is Doug sammons and I am a senior at the University of Texas Allied
Health Sciences School. I am working on my senior project and am lookingfor
any information havingto do with the use of Removeable Rigid Dressings
(RRDs)in either transfemoral or transtibial amputations. This project
involves an in-depth review of published literature that is available
regarding off-the-shelf postoperative products. My Questions are: How often
is this treatment modality being prescribed? What type of
postoperativedevices, if any, are being prescribed? What percentage of your
new amputeereferrals were fit withpostoperative dressings or prosthesis?
If you have any information that could be helpful I would appreciate any
help that you could provide.
Thanks.
