Dear Colleagues,
Our company will be donating prosthetic services to aid in the fitting
and therapy of a patient from the Dominican Republic in mid Janauary of
2001. This patient is an 18 year old male who presents with amputation
levels of left transhumeral, right transradial, and left transfemoral.
We are currently seeking component donations for this case and would
appreciate any assistance from the prosthetic/orthotic community.
We are looking for an E-400 elbow, left and right terminal devices,
flexion wrists, etc, for the upper extremity. In regard to the
transfemoral prosthesis - weight activated stance control or single axis
knees with extension assist would be helpful. Patient weighs around 130
pounds so weight restrictions are not really an issue. His foot size is
nine. We are assisting the L.E.A.P. Foundation (501 (c) 3 charitable
organization) with this case, therefore all donations are
tax-deductible.
Anyone interested in helping should respond to me directly so that
arrangments for shipping and appropriate tax documents can be made.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Chris Lake, CPO, LPO
