Joe,
I have tried and successfully used the ClearGen liner from ALPS. Sizing is
no problem as they go up to the larger circumferences. I just figured that
since all my amputees were shrinking when I fabricated total surface bearing
sockets for them maybe using the liner on its own would work as a shrinker.
Guess what? It did!

Since the liner is silicone there should be no allergic reaction to it. It
has the same chemical breakdown as a drinking glass, and I don't know of
anyone allergic to those.

Good luck.

Subject: URGENT: non latex shrinker

Hello all!

Have a patient allergic to latex who desires a shrinker. She is a very
large BK. We have the name of a manufacturer for Ace* wraps, but this
lady
would prefer a shrinker. Will likely need an AK size. She is not a Px
candidate. Looking for edema control only. Assistance needed. Thanks
in
advance.
