I promise I won't use the H word in this post. I've been reading the
list for a while now and believe the whole hullabaloo started with the
medicare proposal of competitive bidding for OandP products/services.
There will always be someone getting a discount at some point or another,
That's business. What about the discussion of whether this would be a good
thing for the industry. As the competitive bidding began to be more and
more the norm with insurance companies the overall reimbursement went down
for the industry from these companies. This is exactly why medicare is
proposing this. I know times are tough, reimbursement is low and prices
still rise for everything else. What can be done to try to stop or limit
this, besides the obvious writing or speaking with your elected officials.
lets hear some discussion on this for a while.
