PROSTHETIST'S COLLEAGUES
i have been using the TEC expulsion valve with TEC liners and prolink or
ultralink sleeves for a while on below knee amputees. it seems to work
quiet well.
i am aware that ohio willow wood manufacture an expulsion valve, and ESP
does another one as well.
i would like to know :
1. if any other manufacturers produce an expulsion valve.
2.what are the problems you have encountered with below knee suction
prosthesis either by the valve, the sleeve tension, the socket material, and
most importantly SOCKET DESIGN.
3. how would you rate suction suspension comparing to a shuttle lock,
lanyard, supracondylar, or a strap.
if anyone have any suggestions about suction below knee prostheses, please
share it with all of us.
waiting to hear from you all.
thank you
