Original question:
Are you for or against this (ownership) information being posted on this list?

I am very much in favor of this type of
information being posted. I think it is of
value to know who owns what. I agree that
this is mostly a clinical technical forum,
but there is also a business side to our
lives.

Agreed! (to above)

One vote for: all information is potentialy valuable. And as an adult
I have both a sh*t filter for information I find not valuable and a
delete key, which I learned to use just last week.

In favor of knowing this kind of information. Is good for physicians, CPO's
and patients.

I like it.....thanks for the current information

I agree and well done

OK to post

I want to weigh in with my vote. I am for it. Thanks for disseminating the
information to all.

 I'm for the list!

Yes, Post this information.

I have enjoyed the who owns who list that has been circulating.
I purchase based upon a lot of critea. Quality, Service, Price, business
relationships, who owns who etc.
One thing that will prevent me from buying from a company is if they are
annoying. Some of these companies are so annoying that it makes me sick! I
refuse to buy anything from companies that are blatantly irritating. One
definition of annoying for me is the overuse of sales calls. Get the
message!!! NO!
I dare not start a list going.... but they know who they are, and they
won't
be seeing any of my purchasing departments dollars!
Sorry for wasting your e-mail space, but this had to be said for those
companies who may be listening on the sidelines.
And no, I don't want any stinkin' custom shoes! Thank you.

This is a brief note about the newest tidbit about Ivan Sable being on the
board of directors of DonJoy. I am a DonJoy sales rep in Georgia, and have
made several calls on this matter. (FYI, neither I nor my boss knew who
Ivan was until someone high up in DonJoy contracts told me) DonJoy
administration at this point has no knowledge of his appointment. However,
a board of directors meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, so maybe I can find
out for sure on Monday. I will let you know whatever I find. I wouldn't
post this note, since I am not sure, but I just thought you might like to
know that if he is, the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing
(if you know what I mean).

I don't know if you work for Hanger or not, but either way you are
probably familiar
with the fact that Hangers buy everything they can from SPS. SPS sells
DonJoy products
to the Hangers for a discount over list. BUT, DonJoy sells the same product
to
Hanger for a larger discount! It used to be midway between the two
discounts, but since the Hanger/NovaCare
merger, SPS got the better of the two contracts. So, it is obvious that at
this point the Chase connection between Hanger and DonJoy is not even an
advantage for either party! The orthotists are not motivated to use DonJoy
due to the decrease
in the discount! A Hanger CPO in my area has told me that some competitive
knee
brace companies discount direct to Hanger for as much as a 30% discount. This
all shows that
the Chase connection is at the highest levels only, but I may not be far
enough up the food chain to
realize all the implications!
