The good ole USA may get to the point of complete non O&P coverage if our
legislative policies continue to accomadate a unregulated industry with
diluted or inadequate educational standards for mandating qualification
to providers!.
Only difference here is that the industry has already successfully lobbied
and passed legislation to prevent the reuse or sale of used prosthetic
components to all Americans regardless of their ability to pay.
Seems our lawmakers(mostly lawyers by profession) are more concern about and
have more education in product liability issues than they are in
establishing qualification to the providers or bringing accountability thru
regulation!
I better stop here before I am required to post the subject as U.S
Politics!!
Please send me information regarding your organization, administrative
expenses and current needs and infrastructure!
Our address is on our web site. Many of our donors, manufacturers and
practitioners, want to help others in need and have been during so thru our
organization. We would be glad to help.
