Dear Oandp-l'ers,

Before we start an entirely new thread dicussing what we like/dislike about
oandp-l,
please take a short break and count to ten before posting messages to the
public forum.
Quite amusing, but not necessarily appropriate comments have been posted
recently that
do not add to the conversation, but rather instigate hostility and the
possibility of
an escalated debate over trivialities.

As everyone sees, the consolidation and regulation issues are very emotional
topics. They require open debate and discussion in order to help the people
who will be affected by these issues make intelligent and informed
decisions.

We have seen that a number of people from various parts of the world find
this to be history in the making, and possibly an issue which will one day
affect them professionally (O&P Providers) or personally (consumers). We
also see that a number of people frankly don't give a hoot.

So please, show respect to others by utilizing very descriptive subject
lines. Please use US POLITICS as the first part of the subject of any
discussion related to US political, legislative, or regulatory issues.

Utilize the delete key often if necessary, and utilize other finer
features of the listserver such as the 'Digest' option, if you would prefer
to just recieve one big email with all the discussions for the day neatly
packaged into a single email. See instructions at the end of this email.

The Digest option may not be for everyone, since you will always be about a
day behind on emails, as well as have to sort through a bunch in a package
format. But it may be a perfect option for those of you who are not
interested in having dozens of email messages pile up.

Another option was just mentioned by Pat McKee. Try tweaking the settings
in your e-mail filters to dump any emails with the subject heading US
POLITICS directly into your trash bin. This feature works wonders for
either filtering mail with specific subject lines, or mail from various
people. Some email programs even allow you to filter mail based upon text
which is found in the message. Consult your owners manual (RTFM) for
details.

I will also include instructions on Subscribing, to share with your friends
and colleagues, as well as instructions on unsubscribing for when you have
found that you just can't take it anymore.

I hope that everyone finds this forum as interesting, educational, and
entertaining as I do, and I wish you all continued success in your practices
and personal endeavors.

As always, please feel free to contact me directly at <Email Address Redacted> with
problems or complaints.

Sincerely,
Paul E. Prusakowski, CPO
