Need help in Texas...

Dear Colleagues,
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Yuri Nekrutenko, a man from the
Ukraine. He is a trans-femoral amputee, and was in need of a new socket
mounted to his existing components. He is wearing a pnuematic knee from
Endolite utilizing the one bolt alignment system. I fabricated a new socket
for him - polyethelene inner socket with an outer frame of SocketPro (water
activated, pre-impregnated fiberglass and carbon). He is very comfortable and
satisfied with the new fitting, however he e-mailed me today with a problem he
is having. Because the SocketPro material is slightly thicker than his former
polypro socket, the socket attachement bolt is not quite long enough for the
nut to have good purchase on it, therefore the knee is rotating freely. He may
need a longer bolt or at the very least, the nut needs tightening and perhaps
some locktite.
Sounds simple enough to resolve his problem - but! He is no longer here in
Florida, he's visiting with his son in Lubbock Texas! I would be most
appreciative if there is someone in the area who could help this man out. His
prosthetic care was provided free of charge and he has no money, so there
won't be any great reimbursement other than meeting the world's foremost
authority on butterfiles in the former Soviet Union. The man speaks 11
languages fluently (English is one - not sure if he speaks Texan!) and is an
absolute delight to work with.
If you're from the Lubbock area and can help Yuri (and me) out please let me
know as soon as possible so I can get your name to him. I have a telephone
number where he can be reached in Lubbock and can provide that when needed.
Thanks to all and have a great 98!
