As a f/u to my original query:

Any suggestions for a weight activated locking knee for K2 male patient, 6' 2, 360 lbs incorporated into a preparatory TF Prosthesis would be greatly appreciated.; the following responses were received:

> Here are some options to consider:
Mauch Knee Plus (365lbs) - <URL Redacted>
KN-500 (500lbs) - <URL Redacted>

And one response looking for what I received.

In addition, our NCOPE resident took time to do some research on this subject and came up with the following:

Feet:

* Kingsley KT1 or KT8 SACH foot- basic difference is the amount of heel rise in the foot. With this SACH foot it has integrated titanium pyramid that is bonded to the keel. (up to 500lbs.)
* TiMed
* TruLife Kinetic Foot- K2 foot rated for 365lbs, benefit is that it is low profile is build height is an issue
* Ottobock 1S10 titanium adaptor- flexible keel
* Ohio Willowwood Magnum Heavy Duty Foot- K3/K4 rated up to 350 for K1-K3 and 300lbs for K4. Could be an interesting talking point how they have different weights for different K-levels for bariatric patients!
* Ohio Willowwood Impulse Foot- rated up to 350lbs, K3/K4
* MAKstride ComfortStride- new competitor on the market I believe!! rated up to 500lbs, carbon fiber dynamic response. L-5980.

* Freedom Innovations Highlander Max- K3 rated up to 500lbs. L5981 however it is a non-returnable custom item. 36 month warranty for the foot, 6 month warranty for the foot shell.

Knees:

* Ossur Mauch Knee Plus is rated K3/K4 and up to 365lbs.
* TiMed Polycentric Knee with Manual Brake Release K2 and rated for 500lbs.

Components:

* Freedom Innovations has 34mm Tube Clamp Adapter rated to 500lbs
* MedEx Heavy Duty Tube Clamp Receiver rated 450lbs
* ST&G Heavy Duty Carbon Tube rated for 500lbs.
* Bulldog 40mm Heavy Duty Tubing
* TiMed 500lbs Knee Carbon Tube
* Fillaeur Ibex XD Heavy Duty 34mm pylon: weight limit 440lbs
* Ossur titanium components are rated to 365 lbs.
Our interest however was for the knee itself and it seems that the only K2 knee that would work under the Medicare functional level restriction would be the TiMed knee.

Thanks all for your responses.

Eric
