All,
Sam Hamontree was one of the most respected individuals in O&P and rightly so. He will be greatly missed both personally and professionally.
As I'm sure you know, each year AOPA presents The Sam E. Hamontree, CP(E) Business Education Award.
This year, we will hold a remembrance in conjunction with the award presentations. We hope you will join us.
The Sam E. Hamontree, CP (E) Business Education Award was created to recognize the best business papers submitted for presentation at the AOPA National Assembly. This award is envisioned as
a counterpart to the Thranhardt Award given each year to the best clinical abstract(s). The audience will be invited to cast their vote for the award winner. The program will be held on Friday, September 28 from 10:00 AM - Noon at the Vancouver Convention Center. Learn more at www.AOPAAssembly.org.
Best regards,
Tina

I was sad to hear the news of the passing of Sam Hammontree. I was honored to know him. I enjoyed speaking to him socially and also learned so much from him about the O and P business. Not only was he a smart, successful, and kind man, but he drew satisfaction from sharing his knowledge with others to help his colleagues succeed become successful.
He is a role model and he left a legacy that his family can be proud of. My condolences to Steve and Mike.
